ND tennis plays at home

The North Delta tennis team played a make-up match at Bayou Academy Monday and played their first home game of the season Tuesday against Indianola Academy.
The courts at Trussell Park were resurfaced and the teams had not been able to play at home.
Against Bayou Academy, North Delta’s Colin Hartman and Nelson Howell were the only winners in boys 1 and 2 singles.
Hartman defeated Parker McNeer 6-2, 6-1. Howell won by forfeit.
The Green Wave performed a little better against Indianola, but lost 5-4.
Hartman again took care of his opponent Schiefer Phillips in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. Howell also won in straight sets over John Chisolm, 6-4, 6-2.
In boys 1 doubles, Miles Garner and Peyton Neal defeated Jim Holland and Charlie Holland, 5-7, 6-3, 10-4.
In girls No. 1 singles, Evy Rowsey won 4-6, 6-2, 10-5 over Lilly Tripp.
North Delta hosted Lee Academy yesterday and will be home against St. Joseph Tuesday in district action at 3:30 p.m.
