Eight cases of shoplifting heard by municipal court judge

Judge Jay Westfaul referred a Courtland man to the grand jury during Batesville Municipal Court held Wednesday.

Adonijah Tabor, 226 Chapeltown, Courtland, was bound over to the grand jury for felony fleeing, resisting arrest, reckless driving, driving while license suspended, no seat belt, no proof of insurance and improper passing.

Desbit Coley, 281 Ross Rd., Como, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting and was fined $1,124.

Paul M. Putman, 22752 Hwy. 35 North, Batesville, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting. He was fined $1,124.

Arlisa Petty, 12871-B Ballentine, Sardis, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting. She was fined $1,124.

Demarcus Wilson, 109 Percyville, Sardis, was fined $1,124 for shoplifting.

Shaquita Burdette, 4917 Curtis Rd., Batesville, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting and was fined $1,124.

Stalisha Jackson, 85-A Willow Rd., Sardis, entered a guilty plea to two counts of shoplifting. She was fined $2,248.

Timothy P. Agulanna, 2919 Brandywine, Oxford, entered a not guilty plea to open container. A trial was set for June 27.

Clem Jones, 211 Magnolia, Sardis, entered a guilty plea to public drunk and was fined $204.

Pamela Deason, 130 Johnson, Batesville, entered a guilty plea to public drunk, disorderly conduct-failure to comply and abusing members of police. She was fined $1,452.

Jessie Adams, 104 Gowdy, Batesville, failed to appear to answer charges for disorderly conduct-failure to comply and resisting arrest.

Jerrod Jones, 3436 Nash Rd., Batesville, was sentenced to 26 days in jail for old fines of $654 that have been due since April 2012.

Rhonda Jenkins, 213 Court St., Batesville, had old fines of $1,292 that have been due since June 2010. She was told to have her fines paid in full within 30 days or serve six months in jail.

Tiffany Hall, 130 Patton Lane, Batesville, was given time served satisfying old fines of $930 that have been due since July 2011.

Latoya Fondren, 18 Earnestine Turner, Batesville, had a case for simple assault continued until June 27.

Danny Corley, 394 Greenbriar, Courtland, had a case for simple assault continued until June 27.

Cory Nelson, 201 Atkins, Sardis, had a case for shoplifting continued until June 27.

Kimberly Tedford, 911-D Booth, Batesville, had a case for careless driving and improper equipment continued.

Desedric Johnson, 956 Richardson Cove, Clarksdale, was fined $1,124 for shoplifting.
