Miss. Xpress finishes third in World Series

The Mississippi Xpress 12 Year Old Baseball Team traveled to Tupelo and competed in the Mississippi State Tournament and finished fourth. The team also traveled to Cordova, Tenn. where the FCA World Series was held and finished third, losing only to the eventual champion and runner up.

The Mississippi Xpress played eight days straight in two cities eith 11 games to end their season.

Their overall record for the season with a record of 33 wins and 29 loses and three ties.

The top performers offensively for the state tournament were Adam Cook with a batting average of .500 and Landon Fullilove with .477 and Scott Taylor with a game winning double to keep the team in the winners bracket.

Top performers defensively for the state tournament were J.C. Harper, Austin Towles and Tyler Nissen. All had wins pitching at the State Tournament.

Top performers offensively for the World Series were Cody Harbour, Adam Cook and Tap Phillips. They all had at least one homerun.  

Top performers defensively for the World Series was the whole defense, who gave up only 20 runs in six games.
