North Delta School hired a new head football coach on Wednesday but they didn’t have to look too far.  Assistant Coach Lance Thomas will be the new head football coach. Thomas told the school on Wednesday that he would do it.

“If I am going to do it, I am going to do it,” said Thomas.

“Fortunately, I already know the school, the players, and the community,” said Thomas.  “Really, I will just carry on what was already going on.  Every coach has his own ideas. Not much is going to change.

“I will implement some of my ideas in the weight room,” Thomas said.

According to Thomas, everything was already set for him to walk right in and get started. Thomas has already started looking for an assistant coach, announcing Brad Wilson will remain and receive more responsibilities.

“I’m excited about carrying on the tradition of North Delta and past coaches,” Thomas said. “I’m looking forward to that.”
