SARDIS – Tilton Bobo, 68, of Sardis died Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.
Services were held January 3 at Mt. Zion M. B. Church. Rev. Cedric Jackson officiated. Burial was a Shiloh C. M. E. Cemetery, Sardis.
Bobo, born November 26, 1939, in Sardis to Gladys Faye Avant Bobo and Ira Lee Bobo Sr., was a truck driver. He was a member of Mt. Zion M. B. Church in Sardis.
Survivors include daughter Rosemary Smith Harding of Clarksville, Tennessee, and sons Larry Dean Bobo of Sardis and Emmet Jones of Batesville; sisters Rubye Pride, Bonnie Bobo, Emma Bobo, and Barbara McGill of Sardis and Delois Roberson of Gary, Indiana; brothers Robert Lee Bobo and Charles Bobo of Sardis and Joe Louis Bobo of Chicago; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Cooley’s Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
SENATOBIA – Jarvin Rashan Lloyd, 25, of Senatobia died Thursday, December 27. 2007 in Independence.
Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p. m. today at Felix Cauthen Funeral Home in Senatobia. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday January 5, at Shady Grove M. B. Church in Senatobia. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Lloyd, born December 1, 1982, to Hattie M. Linda Towns of Senatobia and James Taylor of Batesville, was a construction worker. He was a member of Shady Grove M. B. Church.
Lloyd is survived by his mother Hattie M. Linda Towns and his step-father Carl Towns of Senatobia; his father James Taylor of Batesville; sisters Iesha Robertson of Sardis, Kendra Jackson of Memphis, and Shonda Dockery of Hernando; brothers Brian Findley of Como, Carlos Young of Batesville, Brad McKinney of Memphis, and Kendrick and Nicko Towns of Senatobia; step-sister Narja Morris of Batesville; step-brothers Jamarcus Sanford of Batesville and Nicholas Robertson of Sardis; grandmothers Hattie Lloyd and Lillie B. Towns and grandfather Ethel J. Taylor, all of Como.
Felix Cauthen Funeral Home on Highway 4 West in Senatobia is in charge of arrangements.
JUDSONIA, AR. – Lula Bell Stewart Strickland, 73, died Friday, December 28, 2007, in Judsonia, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband David Beldon Strickland. She was the grandmother of Crystal Strickland Farrow of Sardis.
Services were held December 29 at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob – Judsonia, Ark. Burial was at Providence Cemetery. Powell Funeral Home was in charge.
Strickland was the daughter of the late Guy and Elma Stewart and the sister of the late Duane Stewart. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter Terri Strickland Davis and her husband Douglas and son Michael Strickland and wife Becci, all of Plainview, Arkansas; grandsons Brian Davis and wife Julie of Oxford, Brad Davis and wife Laura of Judsonia, and Bill Davis and wife Lara Ann of Springfield, Missouri; great-grandchildren Jonathon, Faith and Nathan Farrow of Sardis; Colton and Harrison Davis of Oxford, and Jared and Kiley Davis of Judsonia; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren Dianna, Anthony and Brian Gervasoni and Barbara Light, all of Tampa, Florida.
