Vance, Gwenelda Faye
Grenada, Miss.
     Gwenelda Faye Vance, 55, of Grenada, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
     Services were Monday at National Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Drew Cemetery. Rev. James Crutcher officiated. National Funeral Home had charge.
     Vance, born to the late Lewie and Lela Wood, was a Baptist and a retired nurse aid at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
     She was preceded in death by her brother Clay Wood.
     Survivors include three sons, Gary Alex Boykin Jr. of Memphis, Tenn., Tony Lee Boykin of Houlka and Bobby Joe Boykin of Rena Lara; two sisters, Mary Crutcher and Penny Lewelling, both of Water Valley; one brother Jerry Wood of Water Valley and five grandchildren.
     Memorials may be made to Grenada Health and Rehab, 1966 Hill Dr., Grenada.


Vick, Vera Mae
Vera Mae Vick, 72, formerly of Clarksdale, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, at Beverly Health Care in Batesville.

Services were Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at Lyon Baptist Church. Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clarksdale. Rev. Joel Stroud officiated. National Funeral Home had charge.

Vick, born May 29, 1931, was the owner of Vicks’ Flea Market and a member of Lyon Baptist Church in Lyon.

Survivors include five daughters, Ruth Mitchell of Hernando, Vera Davis of Batesville, Nancy Beatty of Venus, Texas, Betty Vick of Jackson and Elizabeth Barber of Del City, Okla.; four sons, Bobby Vick of Newton, Ala., William Vick of Pearl, Dickie Glen Vick of Clarksdale and Frankie Vick of Thomastown; three sisters, Donna Bramlett of Lyon and Frances Bright and Sherry Grummer, both of Camden, Ark.; three brothers, Bobby Harold Russell of Camden, Ark., Dean Russell of Lugoff, S.C. and Fred Russell of Earlville, Ill.; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

All memorials may be made to Lyon Baptist Church or Gideons International. She was preceded in death by her husband Kirby Vick.
