Defendants charged with burglary bound over to grand jury

Judge Bill McKenzie referred three defendants to the grand jury during Batesville Municipal Court held Wednesday.

Joshua Russell, 93 Kimes Cove, Batesville, was referred to the grand jury for grand larceny and petit larceny. His bond was lowered to $50,000.

Tyler B. Trusty, 975 Ellis Rd., Lambert, was referred to the grand jury for burglary of an occupied dwelling and petit larceny.

Chelsey M. Daughtery, 84 Mimosa Rd., Sardis, was granted a bond reduction from $75,000 to $50,000 for grand larceny. She was referred to the grand jury.

Joey R. Griffin, 149 Victory Rd., Courtland, had a charge for no proof of insurance dismissed after he proved he had insurance. He was charge for having no driver’s license.

Bobby Ray Bradford, 202-A Lester St., Batesville, entered a not guilty plea to open container. A trial was set for August 5.

Raishun Hewlette, Batesville, entered a guilty plea to disturbing the peace. He was fined $328.
Reginald L. Brown, 81 Scott Rd., Batesville, failed to appear to answer charges for disturbing the peace.

Whitman Cole Correro, 1084 Hartzell Rd., Courtland, had a possession of marijuana in a vehicle charge reduced to simple possession of marijuana. He was fined $443.

Wayne D. Fondren, 501 Sanders Rd., Sardis, had a simple assault charge dismissed after the affiant, Lorice Holmes failed to appear to prosecute.

David L. Tamboli, 202 Brinkley Lane, Batesville, had a domestic violence-simple charge dismissed after the affiant, Heather Tamboli failed to appear to prosecute.

Nelson Butler, 1600 3rd St., Marks, failed to appear to answer shoplifting charges filed by Walmart.

Kevin C. Riley, 1600 3rd St., Marks, failed to appear to answer shoplifting charges filed by Walmart.

Marcus C. Smith, 729 McKinley St., Clarksdale, failed to appear to answer shoplifting charges filed by Walmart.

Nicholas Austin Sheppard, 2213 Cold Springs Rd., Sardis, had a case for DUI and no tag continued.

Markeevan Ford, 2074 -C Morrow Rd., Courtland, was given time served to satisfy old fines of $1,627.

Derrick D. Turner, 686-A Herron Rd., Courtland, was found guilty of telephone profanity and had old fines of $221. He was ordered to have his fines of $549.25 paid in full.

Michael Ray Nelson, 2851 Shiloh Rd., Courtland, had a DUI-second (other) reduced to DUI-first. He was also charged with disorderly conduct. He was fined $1,480.

Davon L. Ellis, 209 Arizona, Batesville, was charged with unpaid fines of $2,030, running a stop sign, driving while license suspended and no proof of insurance continued.
