Charles Lamar Barnett

Charles Lamar Barnett, Sr., age 89, passed away Sunday morning, December 4, 2016, at the State Veterans Home in Oxford. Mr. Barnett was the widower of Dolores W. “Dr. B” Barnett.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 8, at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church near Batesville.Reverend Wes Sherman will officiate the service.
Interment will follow in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, December 7 at Wells Funeral Home from 5 – 7 p.m.
Charles was born July 13, 1927 to the late Albert Jack Barnett and Velma Johnson Barnett in Panola County. He was a retired cattle farmer and minister. He was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Those left behind to cherish his loving memory include: his two sons, Dr. Charlie Barnett (Kim) of Batesville, and Albert Gene Barnett of Huntsville, Ala.; two brothers, Bobby Barnett of Batesville and Hugh Barnett of Batesville, and four grandchildren.

J. C. Bullard

J.C. Bullard, age 77, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at his home in Pope. Mr. Bullard was the widower of Lillie Mae Hester Bullard.
Services were held Monday at Wells Funeral Home with interment following in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope.
J.C. was born April 17, 1939 in Crowder,  to the late Wesley Boyd and Lillie Holland Bullard.
He was most known as a cattle farmer but also owned a scrap metal business. J.C. enjoyed watching football and squirrel hunting. He and his late wife, Lillie, loved traveling when they had the opportunity.
J.C.’s memory will be most cherished by his loving family, which includes three daughters, Melinda Bullard Nix of Southaven, Pamela Bullard Griffing and her husband Trey of Shreveport, La., Amy Bullard Wilkins and husband Jimmy of Lakeland, Tenn.; two sons, Ricky Bullard and his wife Carol of Pope, and  Carl Bullard and his wife Karin of Shreveport; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Sebee Daniels

MEMPHIS––Sebee “Buddy Boy” Daniels, 81, died November 30, 2016, at North Delta Hospice in Southaven.
Services were held Saturday at Felix Cauthen Funeral Home. Interment was held in Hunter’s Chapel M.B. Church Cemetery in Como.
