Voter registration deadline is Oct. 8

The First Community Outreach Services hosted a voter registration drive at the Batesville courthouse Saturday, reminding voters that October 8 is the deadline by which to register to be eligible to vote in the November 8 General Election.

Outreach minister Linda Mitchell (right) and Young Democrats of Mississippi representative John Delperdang assisted in the distribution of cold drink and information.

“We’re trying to make sure everyone has a voice and this is a fair election,” said Delperdang, of Leland.
