Gary Sykes Ritter, 72, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the Yalobusha County Nursing Home in Water Valley.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at 4  p.m. on Friday, July 8, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Gary was born on June 2, 1950 to Margaret Sue Fudge and the late Charles Richard Ritter in Oxford. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and in his down time, he could be found outdoors, hunting or fishing. Gary enjoyed four-wheeler riding and swimming with his grandchildren. If you ever rode with Gary, he was going to have the radio on and sing along to the music.

The family he leaves behind includes his two daughters, Adrienne Kelso of Senatobia,  and Renda Ritter Morris of Batesville; one son, Blake Ritter of Batesville; his mother, Sue Fudge of Batesville; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
