Nona Pearl Weeks, 71, passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 6, 2022, at her home near Courtland.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Courtland. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service beginning at noon.

Nona Pearl was born on Aug. 10, 1950 to the late Thomas Edward Patton and Nona Aleen Ware Patton in Pope. She was a retired heavy equipment operator from James Construction Group and was of Pentecostal Faith. Nona Pearl enjoyed all things outdoors, including cutting the grass and fishing. She was also a big football fan and a dog lover. Nona Pearl helped raise her great nephews, Ace Keeton and Jaxson Patton and enjoyed every minute of it.

The family she leaves behind includes her son, Brent Allen Weeks (Rhonda) of Pollock, LA; two sisters, Shirley Ann Clark of Courtland,  and Wynette Patton of Courtland; two brothers, Thomas Edwin Bonner (Mary Ann) of Water Valley,  and Joe Edward Patton (Brenda) of Fieldale, VA; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews; two fur babies, Bella and Dolly Pearl.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by three siblings, Larry H. Patton, Norma Jean Beard, and Patricia Patton.
