Melanie Taylor Beard,  51, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 24, 2021, near Courtland.

The family and friends will gather at 3  p.m. on Monday, Nov. 1,  in the Martin Willigham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. A memorial service for Melanie will be held at 5  p.m. Following the service the family will transition to Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church at 6 p.m. for further fellowship.

Melanie was born Nov. 29, 1969, to the late James Robert and Bonnie Lee Norwood Taylor in Batesville. She was a homemaker during her lifetime and a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.  Melanie enjoyed gardening, wood working, painting, sun bathing, and crafting. She could often be found sitting on the porch listening to music. Most of all, Melanie loved playing with her grandchildren and making people smile with her generosity and kind heart.

In addition to her parents, Melanie was preceded in death by her step-father, James H. “Skeeta” Thornton, and one grandchild, Mabry Suzanne Turner.

The loving family she leaves behind includes her husband, Daniel Beard of Batesville; her children, Ashley Rose Jenkins (Keifer), Andrea Rose, and Allison Rose, all of Batesville; Sabrina Beard Putman (Josh) of Pope, Charlie Beard of Sardis; brothers, Ronnie Taylor (Nita) of Batesville, Jeffery L. Taylor (Margie) of Batesville; grandchildren, Jason Turner, Summer Jenkins, Abbey Jenkins, Cruz Putman, and Jax Putman.
