Brenda Shankle passed away Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, NV.

Funeral services for Brenda were held  Sunday, Aug. 29, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with visitation  prior to the service. Interment was held at Forrest Memorial Park.

Brenda was born Oct. 28, 1950, to the late Philip Ragon Francis and Mary Lillian Shelton Francis in Hopkinsville, KY. Brenda was a retired Registered Nurse. In her younger years, Brenda enjoyed gardening outdoors. She was always crafty and particularly enjoyed making homemade soaps. Brenda loved to cook for her family and take care of her many plants. She could often be found reading her Bible in the mornings.

The loving family she leaves behind includes her children, Lisa Choquette (Reginald) of North Las Vegas, NV., Mark Shankle also of North Las Vegas, NV.; sisters, Latisha Francis Wilson of Ashville, NC., Cynthia Huffman (Chris) of Nesbit, MS.; brother, Oties Francis of Ripley, TN.; step-mother, Patricia Francis of Opelika, AL.; step-sister, Cheryl Bibbs Cotton of Clarkesville, TN.; step-brother, Kenneth H. Bibbs of Salem, AL.; grandchildren, Amber McNabb (Joseph Smith), Tristin McNabb, Prestin McNabb, Alonna Shankle, Zach Choquette, Maria Choquette, and Reggie Choquette, Jr.; one great grandaughter, Aariyonna Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.
