James D. McGregory, 80, passed away at Panola Medical Center Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021.

There will be a graveside service held for James at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14, at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. Rev. Raymond Aven will officiate.

James was born Nov. 25, 1940, to the late Dewey Wayne McGregory and Modess Clayton Cannon McGregory in Darling. James worked in maintenance during his lifetime. He was of the Church of God faith.

The loving family he leaves behind includes his wife of 56 years, Ann McGregory of Batesville; daughter, Lisa Woods (Jeff) of Batesville; son, Darrell McGregory of Pope; sisters, Shirley Jenkins, Patsy Edwards, Peggy Bowie, Linda Humphrey, Dorothy Stuthson; grandchildren, Hunter Craig (Blair),  Fisher Craig; great-grandchildren, Kherington and Karter Craig.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mary Jenkins, Sarah Perkins, Jean McGregory; and 2 brothers, Wayne McGregory, Eddie McGregory.
