Jimmy Bowles, 83, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021, at his home near Batesville.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 3,  in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Mr. Jimmie was laid to rest at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville.

Jimmie was born on Nov. 19, 1937, to the late Preston Bowles and Nona Mae West Bowles in Sledg. He was retired from South Central Bell where he worked as a switchman and was a member of the Crowder Assembly of God.

Jimmie also honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy.

The family he leaves behind includes his precious wife, Shirley Ann Bowles of Batesville; one daughter, Lisa Bowles of Batesville; one sister, Mary Whitten of Tocowa; and one brother, Bobby John Bowles of Crowder.
