Doyle Manning, 75, passed away at his home in Batesville on June 8, 2021.

Funeral services for Doyle will be held at 3 p.m.  Friday, June 11,  in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Magnolia Cemetery. Dr. Paul Middleton will officiate.

Doyle was born Sept. 4, 1945, to the late J.W. Manning and Florence Jackson Manning in Coffeeville. Doyle worked as quality control engineer during his lifetime. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Doyle enjoyed the outdoors. His hobbies including hunting deer, turkey, and rabbits. He also enjoyed fishing with Patrick and riding country roads with Barbara. Doyle was an avid Ole Miss, New Orleans Saints, and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He always had a positive attitude. Doyle enjoyed visits with family and friends, and making people laugh. He influenced many children through his years of coaching little league baseball and softball.

The loving family he leaves behind include his loving wife, Barbara Griffin Manning of Batesville; children, Mindy Manning Douglas (Blake) of Oxford, and Patrick Manning of Batesville; two sisters, Carol Bonner of Batesville, Betty Baldwin of Coldwater; brother, Paul Manning of Pearl; and one beautiful granddaughter who he adored, Ari Lana Douglas. Doyle was excited about the upcoming birth of his second granddaughter in October, Hallie Bea Douglas, to Mindy and Blake. He loved God and his family dearly.
