Sheila Washington,  47, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020 at her daughter’s home near Batesville.

Sheila was born on July 29, 1972 to the late George Sowell and Mary Doris Carlisle Sowell in Marks. She enjoyed making jewelry in her spare time, riding, talking with friends and family, and fishing.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, James C. Washington of Houlka; 3 daughters, Kayla Corbett of Sardis, Heather Castleman of Collierville, TN, and Amy Castleman of Memphis, TN; one sister, Brenda Manues (David) of Tunica; one brother, George Sowell of Sardis; her aunt, Shirley Dover of Sardis; and 5 grandchildren, Brooklyn Corbett, Ava Corbett, Camden Castleman, Taylor Castleman, and Maycie Hinte.

Along with her parents, Shelia was preceded in death by her sister, Sherry Smith.

A memorial service will be held but is yet to be determined. Wells Funeral Home will have charge of arrangements
