NP Cougar track teams compete at New Albany

The North Panola track and field teams opened up the 2020 slate at the New Albany Invitational Thursday with both girls and boys squads finishing in 10th place.

On the boys side, Carl Robinson finished fifth in the 200 meter with a time of 23.90 while Jaquayvious Pettis placed twelfth in the 110 meter hurdles.

Quandarius Reed garnered a tenth place finish in the 300 meter hurdles. Jaquaien Ruffin placed fifth in the long jump and seventh in the triple jump.

In the field events, Kenndan Lyons finished eighth in the shot put.

For the Lady Cougars, eighth-grader Ali Gallway finished tenth in the 800 meters while the 4×200 meter relay team captured ninth place.

In the field events, D’mya Williams finished sixth in the long jump while Kirson Presley and Charkrya Robison placed third and fifth in the triple jump.

Eighth grader Denijhia Thomas placed sixth in the discus.
