Dr. Margie Clark works tirelessly to help young people see their dreams come true.

She is the founder of AMARIE, a non-profit organization which is a team of dedicated people working together to make a difference.

“Our mission is to help develop a positive environment for the community and to promote unity, and to promote higher education for every age,” Clark said.

One of the highlights of the organization is to host fashion shows using local and well-known designers. One such person is Bernadette Davis of Epiphany 7.

The fashion show promotes the vision and mission which is to be an organization that focuses on volunteers, developing leadership skills, problem-solving skill, mentoring, setting and achieving goals, working in teams and communication skills, according to Clark.

“Adults and youths can develop creativity and express themselves through the arts, such as singing, dancing, painting and drama in beautiful ways,” Clark said. “Being an educator, my motto is to make a positive impact in my community and surrounding areas.”

Clark put her mission to action as she ran as the first black female for a seat on the City of Pope Board of Aldermen in 2019 in a special election.
