ND boys pick up first win of season

The North Delta boys basketball team picked up its first victory of the season Tuesday with a 37-26 road win over Indianola Academy.
Walt Miller led the way with 14 points while Colin Hartman provided nine. Ben Rowsey followed with eight along the way.
Tyler Hall and Drake Barton finished with four and two points each.
North Delta (1-1) fell behind 10-4 after the first quarter, but rallied to take a 16-15 lead at halftime.
The Green Wave extended its lead to 33-21 after three quarters of play thanks to a pair of three pointers by Miller.

Ridge Aldison poured in 12 points as the Junior High Wave edged the home team. Cody Bost followed with 10 while Ethan Jefcoat finished with three points.

The No.1 ranked Lady Wave won its seventh game in a row with a convincing victory over Indianola.
Ally Alford led the way with 22 points, nine steals and five rebounds as North Delta (7-2) built up a 42-14 lead at intermission.
Faith Bollinger followed with a solid 19 points and three boards.
Emy Cay Donaldson provided three points while Shelby Boone,Hannah Bollinger, Eliza Morris, Sydney Talley and Sayle Stennett finished with two points each.
Mckinna Smith tallied five rebounds and three steals o n the defensive end.
The Lady Green Wave played Lake Cormorant Thursday in the Oxford tournament with the winner taking on the Shannon/Oxford winner Saturday at 6:30 p.m. with the loser of the two games playing at 5 p.m
