Funeral services for James Fondren, 70, will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Gilliam M.B. Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Serenity-Williams Funeral Home of Oxford.

He died Nov. 25, 2019, at his home in Oakland.

 

Joan Gee

Joan Gee, 87, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, at her home in Marks.

Perlie Mae Hamilton

Funeral services for Perlie Mae Hamilton, 46, will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, at St. Peter M.B. Church with Pastor O’dell Draper officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Rest Church cemetery under the direction of Cooley’s Mortuary.

She died Nov. 24, 2019, at her residence in Sardis. She was born Sept. 24, 1973, to Segrest Hamilton and Lenora Jefferson. She was a member of St. Peter M.B. Church.

Visitation is set for Friday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary.

 

Anita D. Logue

Anita D. Logue, 76, of Oxford, MS, formerly of Pope, MS, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

Mrs. Logue was born on April 25, 1943 in Texas to The Late Maria and Jessie Delgado. She was a member of Hosanna Family Worship Center in Pope and enjoyed crocheting in her spare time.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving family which includes her step-daughter, Donna Logue of Memphis, TN; her step-son, Barry Logue of Batesville, MS; her sister, Juanita Wallace of Batesville, MS; her niece, Debbie Overton of Pope, MS; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stanford Logue; her sister, Wanda Delgado; her step-daughter, Amy Warren; and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at 1 pm in Hosanna Family Worship Center with Bro. Damon Plummer officiating. Interment will follow in Batesville Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the church on Tuesday from 11 am until service time at 1 pm.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Dickins Funeral Home.

 

Maud Ella Mottley

Funeral services for Maud Ella Mottley, 83, will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m at Hammond Hill M.B. Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Felix Cauthen Funeral Home.

She died Nov. 29, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven.

 

William Allen Tutor

William Allen Tutor, 66, died Dec.  2, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.

He was born March 14, 1953, to the late Wilma Wayne Tutor and Mable Nadean Sheperd McCullar in Batesville. He was retired from Crown Cork and Seal.

There will be no services held at this time. Wells Funeral Home of Batesville has charge.

 

Odis Zenor

Odis Zenor, 76, died at his home near Como Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019.

Arrangements were incomplete Wednesday, and will be posted by Wells Funeral Home when completed.
