You want to wallow in your grumble and complaints until it all goes away. Sometimes it never goes away. So what do you do?

Are you going to spend your life grumbling and complaining or are you going to stand up move forward and take hold of your life?

I am going to be thankful. Just to be fair I did not much care for the rug that was pulled out from under us a few years ago. But I’m no different than you in that respect.

We all have things to be snarky about in life. But, we do not have to be snarky.

This past year started off terribly and the tide has finally turned now at near year’s end. The turning tide has nothing to do with me and everything to do with others.

I am thankful that Dear Don will have insurance coverage next year.

I am thankful for the caring, supportive Christian doctors that minister to him physically, mentally and spiritually.

I am thankful that my car got over it’s bout of sickness, and can now take me where I need to go.

I am thankful that the weather is cooler/colder, and I do not have to cut grass.

I am thankful for my Uncle and Aunt who are faithful to check on us and care for us in all things small or large.

I am thankful that so many people in foreign countries have found work as telemarketers. I am sure they need the money.

I am thankful for the 10 young girls who make my heart beat on Sunday nights.

I am thankful for the ladies who stepped up to help out with these same girls.

I am thankful for my christian friends who encourage us, and support us and lift us up in prayer.

I am thankful for all the anonymous angels who have entered our lives this year. God knows who each of you are and he also knows what you mean to us.

I am thankful for the presence of God in our lives.

I am thankful for decrease in material things and increase in our faith.

I am thankful for a deeper prayer life.

And last, but not least, I am thankful for the saving grace of Jesus.

We have both learned so much during these past years. The more we lost, the less we had, the greater our lives became.

Only Jesus can do something like that.

And to you my faithful readers, you have shared tears with me, you have prayed for me, you have sent me underwear in the mail, and a much anticipated book on faith.

You have written actual letters, you have called often, and you have emailed. I love each and everyone of you. If you did not follow me here in this spot for the past 15 years the paper would have kicked me out long ago.

I am thankful beyond measure and my cup runneth over.

Stay tuned.
