Sharlott Ann Turnage Rupprecht

Sharlott Ann Turnage Rupprecht, 75, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at her home in Batesville.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with burial at Forrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m.

Sharlott was born August 26, 1944, in Shelby County, to the late Eppie Barney and Flora Eugene Maples Turnage. She was a retired machine operator and member of Central Academy Church of Christ in Batesville. Sharlott enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family and friends, and also, she loved working in her yard.

Sharlott’s memory will be cherished by her two daughters, Rita Wright Roberson of Courtland and Yvette Aldy of Batesville; a son, Randy Rupprecht of Batesville; two sisters, Patricia Gail Bishop of Bartlett, and Jeanice Windham of Pearl; 13 grandchildren, Christy May, Amber Rupprecht, Christina Wright, Renee Wright, Nathan Wright, Amber Roberson, Rachel Webb, Danny Joe Webb, Jr., Bradley Webb, Brandy Britt, Courtney Knight, Tyler Knight, Colton Aldy; and 15 great-grandchildren, Alysa Davis, Lacey May, Jayden Stigler, Mallory Jenkins, Harrison Lansdell, Katelyn Barlow, Sara Beth Barmer, Cloie Barmer, Hannah Webb, Hollis Webb, Holland Webb, Summer Webb, Autumn Webb, Bradley Webb, Jr., Scarlette Knight.

Other than her parents, Sharlott was preceded in death by her former husband, John Albert Rupprecht, Jr.; daughter, Rhonda Britt of Batesville; a sister, Jeanette Chrestman of Batesville; and two brothers, Jimmy Turnage and Eppie Duane Turnage, both of Batesville.

 

Eddie Skelton

Eddie Skelton, 70, passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at Baptist Hospital in Oxford. A graveside service was held at 1:30 p.m. at Sanders Family Cemetery in Enid.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leroy Skelton & Annie Mae Brown Mills,  and a sister, Pat Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.

He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and loved football and wrestling.

Those whom he leaves behind to cherish his memory include his best friend, Cathy Sanders of Darling, daughter Chyann Skelton of Memphis; sons Eddie D. Skelton (Joann) of Easton, GA; and Kevin Skelton of Clarksdale; a sister, Tracy Mills of Strayhorn, and a brother, Dino Mills (Stacy) of Darling; and stepchildren Tim Sanders (Karen) of Enid, Tatia Aguilar (Jesse) of Enid; and Regina Groner (Kenny) of Batesville; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

 

Dorothy A. Woods

Dorothy A. Woods, 80, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven.

Funeral services were Sunday, Nov. 10, at Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks.

She was an avid gardener, had a green thumb and could grow anything. She was a member of Blue Lake Baptist Church.

Those whom she leaves behind to forever cherish her memory include two

daughters, Mary Wiggs (Johnny) of Hernando; and Betty Moore (Eugene) of

Sarah; a son, Tommy Woods of Lambert; seven grandchildren and

eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband  Walter M. Woods, her parents William and Lillian Sanders, three sisters, and two brothers.
