Independent business PAC endorses Boyd

The National Federation of Independent Business Mississippi Political Action Committee has endorsed Nicole Akins Boyd for her candidacy for Senate District 9 as “Best for Small Business”.

“Our members support candidates who support small businesses, and Nicole has shown us that she truly understands and supports Mississippi’s job creators,” said Ron Aldridge, state director in Mississippi. “Nicole Akins Boyd is the best for small business.”

“I am so pleased to get the recognition of the NFIB, they are truly the voice for small business owners and an advocate for policies central to independent business owners in our State, “ said Boyd.

“Our small businesses make our local economies prosper by bringing growth and employment opportunities to Panola County. We must make our small businesses thrive without overwhelming government intervention.” In 2018, research shows that Mississippi small businesses account for over 99.3 percent of Mississippi Businesses.

Boyce Crowell, a small business owner in Batesville, supports Boyd because “I have known Nicole most of her life, and I know she is a hard worker and talented business woman who cares about the people in our district.” Crowell said her “priorities are the things we all need: investments in local transportation and education, increasing teacher pay, help for our rural hospitals, and protection for retired pensions.”

Jayme Alford Rowsey, whose family are small businesses owners in Panola County is supporting Nicole in the Nov. 5 election. She said:

“Nicole knows that small businesses like ours are the backbone of our economic growth in our community. I have known Nicole for almost 40 years and she has always believed in strong family values and has the determination to help our small businesses make our community a better place,” Rowsey said.

This endorsement from the NFIB comes along with several other endorsements for Boyd from the leading job creation organizations in the state, including:       The Business and Industry Political and Education Committee “Best for Business”, the Mississippi Manufacturers Association, the Mississippi Home Builders Association, the Mississippi Realtors Association, the Mississippi Bankers Association, and the Mississippi Medical Association.
