The City of Batesville Municipal Court was held Wednesday, Oct. 23, with Judge Jay Westfaul presiding.

Eddie L. Porter, 221-A Henry Harris Rd., Batesville, pleaded guilty to no driver’s license and no insurance with a $712 fine imposed due in 30 days.

Tabetha J. Eyre,101 Cox St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to possession of paraphernalia and was fined $383 due in 30 days.

Taylor E. Wilson,18087 Hwy. 51 S. Sardis, pleaded guilty to simple possession of marijuana and was fined $443 due in 30 days.

Elbert Smith, Jr. 778 Bethlehem Rd., Batesville, was found guilty under sworn testimony of misdemeanor embezzlement and was fined $348.

Tierrsen T. Smith,15729 Clifton Park, Markham, IL, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was fined $1,146.

Taeshia N. Rochon,16643 Dixie Hwy. Markham, IL. pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was fined $1,146.

Javonte C. Garrett, 417 Taylor St., Como, pleaded not guilty to shoplifting and was given a Nov. 6 trial date.

Kendrick D. Jones, 205 Claude St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was fined $1,146. He pleaded not guilty to petit larceny and given a Nov. 6 trial date.

Alyssa K. Quella, 221 CR 378, Water Valley, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting and was fined $2,292.

Laurin D.Hatcher, 20 Harmon Circle, Batesville, was found guilty of shoplifting and fined $1,146.

Shelby F. Ware,1898 Farrish Gravel Rd.,Batesville, failed to appear on a shoplifting charge.

Joshua M. Goodnight, 23130 Hwy. 51,Sardis, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and trespassing and was fined $1,563.

Cameron D. Ferguson,102 Stevens Ln., Batesville, had a case of DUI-Refusal, and careless driving continued until a later date.

Derrick D. Thomas, 603 E.Gay St., Charleston, pleaded guilty to DUI, careless driving, no driver’s license and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and was fined $1,667.

Markevian D. Jones,335 Shamrock, Apt.10B, Batesville, pleaded guilty to simple assault and paid a $328 fine prior to court.

Najee L. Edwards, Eureka St., pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct-failure to comply along with non-payment of old fines all totaling $1,630.

Jeffery D. Nelson,1267 Neptune St., Memphis, pleaded guilty to providing false identification information and no driver’s license along with non-payment of old fines all totaling $1,621.

Earl D. Joiner,160 Howard St., Marks, pleaded guilty to contempt of court and suspended driver’s license and was fined $762.

In a case set for trial, Deon Pryor, 218 Broadway, Apt. J, Batesville, had a charge of disturbance of a family dismissed, but was ordered to pay $707 in old fines.
