Next Friday’s “Pull for Panola” event is shaping up to be one of the best fall forums that Panola Partnership has sponsored in recent years.

The lineup of activities includes updates on The Concourse, the overall condition and direction of the state and county’s economy, and progress in various Career and Technology projects planned at South Panola and  North Panola schools.

McIvor Shooting Facility outside Sardis will host Pull for Panola and anyone interested in using the shooting range in the afternoon can find out more information by visiting the Partnership’s website at www.panolacounty.com or calling the office at 563-3126.

Details of the clay targets and other shooting sports planned for the day are available on the website.

Guest speaker for the day will be Bronson Strickland of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. His topic will be the area’s whitetail deer and the latest state news about Chronic Wasting Disease in North Mississippi herds.

Taylor Grocery will cater a luncheon. The day’s activities will begin at 9 a.m. and wrap up at 3 p.m.

The Partnership has used the event to promote the economic organization, focusing on existing members while recruiting additional businesses to join the county’s chamber of commerce.

Azar said the Partnership office decided this week to open the event to all businesses and individuals because of the many people that are anxious to see the new facility and join discussions about ongoing opportunities in Panola County.

“This has really turned into a super event for all of Panola County,” Azar said. “We’ve had good membership response and a number of men and  women who want to attend. We think this will be an excellent time to show all that the Partnership has to offer and our exciting agenda for the next year.”
