Green Wave stay clean blanking Strayhorn 32-0

Junior quarterback Ryan Gibson ran for two touchdowns and threw for another as the No.1 ranked North Delta Green Wave remained undefeated at 4-0 with a 32-0 rout of Strayhorn Friday night in Sarah.
Gibson scored on runs of five and one yards as the Wave built up a 24-0 lead at halftime.
Drake Barton accounted for the other two touchdowns with a 25-yard scoring strike from Gibson in the fourth quarter and a 18-yard interception return in the second quarter.
Ian Cole recovered a fumble and Taylor Rowland, Aden Sykes and Forrest Pierce all tallied two quarterback sacks each.
Hawk Aldison recorded 11 tackles, and Jordan Cox had eight against the Mustangs.
The win by North Delta sets up a showdown Friday night as the Green Wave host defending MAIS Class AA state champion and unbeaten Greenville St. Joe at 7 p.m.
