Rock Hill M.B. Church, Sardis, will celebrate it’s 135th Church Anniversary on Saturday with a picnic on the grounds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Family and Friends Day, Sunday, Sept. 1, at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker is Rev. Cedric Ford of Baytown, Tex.

Sept. 1

Eureka A.M.E. Zion will have pastor appreciation service for Pastor Bobbie Willis at 3 p.m. Rev. Mitchell Steen of Greater Sanders Chapel of Water Valley will be the guest speaker.

Sept. 3-5

New Bethel M.B. Church of Darling will hold revival nightly at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. H.P. Washington, Jr., of Memphis. Gregory Coleman is the pastor. All are invited. Call Lilly Whitehead for more information at 563-3868.

Sept. 7

The first annual Community Church Picnic will be held from noon to 6 p.m. at Paradise Point Pavilion on Sardis Lake. Lunch will be served from noon to 2 p.m. Everyone is invited for good food, music, karaoke, singing, dancing, games and bouncy’s for the children. Just bring lawn chairs and tents. The event is hosted by Mt. Gillion, Bethlehem, Bluff Springs, Pilgrim Rest and St. Peter’s. Donations are accepted, but not expected. 

United Fellowship M.B. Church will have a Fish/BBQ Plate fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 263 Hwy.  W. in Batesville. Contact Jeffery McMullen or Cora Brooks for more information.

Sept.  8

West Camp M.B. Church will have its Pastor’s 6th Anniversary service at 3 p.m. Church pastor is Rev. Harlen Harris. Guest speaker will be Rev. Melvin Ellis of Pilgrim’s Rest. Everyone is cordially invited.
