Explorer’s Bible Study class times for the sessions that will run through April 2020  have been announced and the first classes have begun.

Classes  will be offered at three times on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Batesville.

Days and times are: Tuesday nights 7 to 8:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church on Panola Ave.; Thursday mornings 9 to 10:30 in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church (this class also offers nursery, pre-school, and homeschool programs); and Thursdays midday from 12:05 to 12:55 p.m.

This year’s course is the books of Hebrews and 1st Peter, with workbook material written by Explorer’s teaching leader Marni McKenzie. The classes are open to men and women 12 years and older from all religious backgrounds.

Tuition is $30 a semester. Scholarships are available.

There is  also a new study option this year. Additional class days or time choices are offered through  iStudyEBS.org, Explorer’s internet counterpart. Discussion groups meet online with their discussion leaders, then receive the link to listen to the explanatory letter at their convenience following their discussion group time.
