Dear Editor,

My husband and I want to thank the people of Panola County.

Sunday as we drove to church in Batesville a car slammed into us as we turned left. Our car went spinning out of control. Within moments concerned people came to make sure we were ok. Soon the police came and could not have been kinder, more  considerate or helpful.

The tow truck driver went above and beyond the call. As we sat waiting for our neighbor to take us to the ER for non serious injuries, a waitress offered us water. The ER staff was amazingly caring and professional.

We are senior citizens and have experienced a lot in our lives. However, we must say we do not recall a situation where more people were willing to help and to do so in such a sincere way.

Thank you people of Panola County. May God continue to bless you!
