Dorothy (Dotti) O’Nita Bennett Crowson, 79 years old, went to her heavenly home Tuesday afternoon, June 25, 2019.

She was born March 1, 1940, in Pontotoc to loving parents, Doyle P. Crowson and Corinne Owens Crowns. Dotti attended Memphis schools from elementary through high school. She grew up with a dear cousin, Pat Hurst Dever, who she considered a sister.

Dotti’s vocational skills included hairdressing, instruction in hairdressing, and property management, an area in which he excelled.

Dotti enjoyed ballroom dancing, and won several contests over the years. Even in recent years she was tempted to “cut a rug” on occasion.

In 2011, she moved to Batesville to reside with her cousin, Mary Evelyn Barber.

 

Johnnie White Harmon, 84, of Sardis, died Sunday, June 23, 2019, at her home.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 26,  in the Sardis Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home with Bro. Hal Johnson officiating. Interment followed in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 8, 1934, in Itta Bena to the late Cordie Hughes White and Walter Jackson White. She was a member of Sardis Church of Christ and was an avid gardener

She was the widow of Freddie Hampton Harmon.
