A neighbor of mine by the name of Ms. Shirley was so encouraged when she drove to Batesville town, she could not keep it to herself.

On her way she passed by the peach stand, turned around and stopped. A man approached her and they began a conversation about the blessings of the Lord and how her health had improved, and the joy she received at her last report.

She also received a financial blessing out of nowhere.

Remember, faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

This lady moved here from Michigan to start a new life. A widow of a military veteran who suffered from trauma and nightmares, she raised four daughters. After a list of illnesses of her own, she saw a need to look up and live without ceasing.

Many women have a fear change especially when they are of a certain age. Time does not belong to any of us (but God). We set our hearts on the truth of who God is, not man.

Ms. Shirley has no family in the area but she had gained many friends who can and will come to her aid if the need arises. She has made herself a beacon to others.

She is learning to be self sufficient in areas that are hard when you have no concept about your neighborhood. She has learned to accept the things that bring comfort to her home, such as a lost dog that she has taken in to nurture with all the love she could give. (Beth is her name).

If you cannot encourage the person who needs spiritual help, then put a lock on the emptiness of which you speak. She has become strong enough, physically, to travel home to Michigan in the near future to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

If you can help someone along the way, your living shall not be in vain.
