Ole Miss and Mississippi State have scheduled with the City of Batesville to play a double header of baseball at the Amercian Legion Park on Saturday, April 27.  First pitch is set for 6 p.m., weather permitting.

The Rebels and Bulldogs will send their schools’ club teams for the games. The Division I teams play a Southeastern Conference schedule as does the club teams. The club rosters are made up of former junior college and high school players who continue to play, but not at the top college level.

Parks and Recreation director Heath Fullilove said the city is excited about the opportunity to have the teams play in Batesville and a full concession stand will be open for the games. There is no admission charge and fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for the family event.
