This group of Batesville car collectors, among other things, was on the Downtown Square Friday morning planning the 10th Annual Showoff on the Square, sponsored by Mayor Jerry Autrey and the City Board. A 1929 Ford Model A and a 1931 Dodge truck will be part of an expected 200 cars of all makes and models at the free show. Merea Ministries has charge of the concessions and will also be accepting donations. From left, Joe Pegram, Robert Beard, Tommy Caine, Darrell Martin, and Jimmy Moore will each have several cars at the show. Their efforts for the annual event has raised thousands for the Baptist Children’s Village and served needy children of the community. (Jeremy Weldon)
