The North Delta tennis team dropped a close 5-4 decision to Lee Academy Tuesday at Clarksdale Country Club.

Colin Hartman and Layton Wells won both boys singles matches by forfeit while Ben Rowsey and Nishika Patel were victorious in their mixed doubles contest also by forfeit.

Ally Alford won the girls No.1 singles match 4-6, 6-2 and 10-8 in the tiebreaker. Anne Finke and Emily Wells took the ‘B’ team girls doubles contest 9-8.

North Delta hosts its first home match of the season Thursday as they take on Kirk Academy beginning at 3:30 p.m. on the courts at Trussell Park.
