Thunderstorms with strong winds reaching an estimated 80 mph swept through Panola County Wednesday night, downing trees and blocking several county roads. The Emergency Operations Management office said two houses were reported damaged and the Greater Concord Church on Hwy. 6 West sustained considerable damage when a large oak was toppled onto the structure.
