Jr. High Tigers Split with W.V

Aiden Williams and Brock Ware combined on a five-inning no-hitter as Batesville Junior High defeated Water Valley 5-1 in the opening game of a double header at Water Valley Thursday.
The Blue Devils rebounded to win the nightcap 8-7
The Tigers took a 3-0 lead in the first before adding single runs in the third and fourth frames while Water Valley accounted for their lone run in the fourth.
Williams got the starting nod on the hill and struck out five while walking two batters in three innings. Ware tossed the final two frames, giving up the lone run with two walks and two strikeouts.
Trey Drumheller, Michael Johnson and Baylor Scammon collected two hits each while Logan Pratt added a double to account for the other Batesville hit.
Johnson, Pratt and Mack Boyette drove in one run for the Tigers.
Batesville returned to the diamond Monday as they hosted North Delta for a twin bill starting at 5 p.m
