The following cases were heard in Batesville Municipal Court Wednesday, Jan.2 with Judge Jay Westfaul presiding:

Billy G. Greer, 861 Hwy. 6, Oxford, pleaded guilty to public drunkeness and was fined $225

Nathan Watkins, 221 1/2 Perkins Ln. Batesville, failed to appear on a charge of simple possession of marijuana. An arrest warrant was issued.

Jeffery D. Nelson, 11 116 CR Oxford, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and public drunkenness and was fined $668

Mac Arthur Draper, Jr. 145 Fudge Town Rd., Batesville, failed to appear on charges of possession of marijuana, improper equipment, driving with a suspended drivers license and no proof of insurance plus old fines, all totaling $2,072. An arrest warrant was issued.

Jeremy Thigpen, 618 Scott Ave., Lambert, pleaded guilty and was fined $718 for possession of marijuana in a vehicle and no seatbelt.

Cecil Paul Henderson, 115 Jackson St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was fined $328.

Brenda Hunt, 185 E. 3rd St., Crowder, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct- failure to comply, and public drunkenness and was given 30 days to pay a $872 fine.

Shelia Morris, 1736 Cotton Plant Rd., Batesville, had a charge of trespassing dismissed due to lack of prosecution.

Shekaydra Morris, 221 Tubbs Rd., Batesville, had a trespassing charge dismissed due to lack of prosecution.

Tykia Bradford, 315 Mt. Olivet Rd., Batesville, pleaded not guilty to simple assault and was given a Jan. 23 trial date.

Tyrus Bradford, Jr., 315 Mt. Olivet Rd., Batesville, pleaded guilty to domestic violence, malicious mischief and simple assault and was ordered to pay $1,073 in 60 days plus $450 in restitution charges due in 30 days.

Ashley Johnson, 25 Ford Rd., Batesville, pleaded guilty to domestic violence and was fined $417 due in 30 days.

Thomas Pruett, 25 Ford Rd., Batesville, pleaded guilty to domestic violence and was fined $417 due in 30 days.

Shakala Ward, 709 Letha Wiley, Rd., Sardis, had charges of domestic violence and petit larceny dismissed due to the lack of prosecution.

Taiwan Obey, 557 Sanders Rd., Sardis, pleaded guilty to contempt of court, expired tag and no drivers license and was  fined $2,210 due in 30 days.

Alexander W. Ray, 8289 Hwy.51 Courtland, pleaded guilty and fined $533 for an expired tag and no driver’s license.

Anthony D. Toliver, 211 Tubbs Rd., Batesville, failed to appear on charges of no driver’s license and old fines all totaling $1,558.

Ricky Hunt,1641 Rockhill Rd. Sardis, pleaded guilty to contempt of court, speeding and driving with a suspended license and was fined $1,060 due in 30 days.

Angela Wright, 209 Edwin Circle, Sardis, pleaded guilty to contempt of court and was fined $798 due in 30 days.

Terrence Dickerson, 3780 Brompton Rd., Memphis, had a charge of armed robbery bound over to a grand jury.

Cassandra N. Wooten, 206 Tubbs Rd., Batesville, had a charge of embezzlement bound over to a grand jury.

Winter Swope pleaded not guilty to possession of a controlled substance and given a Jan.16 trial date.

Justin Fredrick pleaded not guilty to possession of a controlled substance and given a Jan.16 trial date.

Shelby Ware, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was given a six month jail suspended jail sentence and one year of probation.
