After taking a two week break for the Christmas holidays, North Delta basketball returns to the hardwood today as they host Marshall Academy in a pair of varsity  non-district games beginning at 1:30.

North Panola and South Panola also return to the court tonight as they take on district opponents. South Panola opens up District 2-6A play by entertaining Columbus with the varsity girls tipping off at 6 p.m followed by boys action.

North Panola meanwhile travels to district foe Water Valley also at 6 p.m. The Cougars are set to play their first home game of the season next Friday against Marks Palmer.

The South Panola soccer team also returns to the pitch at home Friday against Strayhorn at 5 and 7 p.m.  Saturday morning they will  host Lafayette Co. beginning at 10 with the junior high boys and  girls taking the field followed by varsity action, about noon and 2 p.m
