“The training I received within those weeks have made me mentally and physically prepared to start my journey as an officer,” Ivy said. “The law enforcement academy has taught me so much, but most importantly it has taught me what a true definition of family is. I received the greatest gift while I was there and that was my blue family. We created a bond that can never be broken.”

“I can’t thank the director, coordinator, and instructors enough for what they have done for our class. All 47 officers are officially certified to serve our communities,” she said  “Remember to always pray for your officers. I’m so thankful for my friends and family that were back home supporting me.”

Ivy is a patrolman with the Southaven Police Department.
