Dan Daniels

Lambert- Mr. Dan Daniels, age 80, passed away Saturday, May 05, 2018 at Quince Nursing & Rehab in Memphis. Services were held Thursday at United Methodist Church in Lambert with interment following in Lambert Cemetery.
Mr. Daniels was a retired construction worker and business owner in Lambert. He served his country for fifteen years with the Air Force. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was known and loved by all.
Those left to cherish the memory of Mr. Daniels inc lude his wife Margaret Morris Daniels of Lambert; three daughters Teresa “Terry” Williams (Glenn) of Germantown; Linda Fowler (Tom) of Collierville; Barbara Uhl (Rodney) of Batesville; five sons Tony Daniels of Lambert; Tim Mayer (Linda) of Batesville; Rick Mayer (Missie) of Lambert; Eddie Morris (Twyla) of Randolph; Timmy Morris (Mindy) of Thaxton; three sisters Bonnie Tomlinson (Butch) of Pocahontas; Madge Elkins (Bob) of
Horn Lake; Yvonne Nezhadpour (Heady) of Sherwood, Ark.; one brother John H. Daniels (Meg) of Peoria, IL; one brother-in-law Maurice Goff of Walls; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jo Anne Margaret Mazei Daniels, his parents John F. & Louise Daniels, one daughter Samantha Morris Bridges, one daughter-in-law Telesa Lynn Daniels, two sons Michael G. Mayer & Michael D. Daniels and one sister Shelbie Jean Goff.

Brandi S. Hunt

Brandi S. Hunt, 25, died May 2, 2018 at Regional One in Memphis.
Services will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Batesville Intermediate School Auditorium. Pastor British Conley will officiate.
Interment will follow in First Oak-Grove Cemetery in Crowder. Visitation will be held today from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Ms. Hunt was born March 30, 1993 in Clarksdale to Rodney Smith of Brooklyn Park, Minn. and Brenda Hunt of Crowder. She was a tool-seter at Winchester and a member of the New Bethel M. B. Church in Crowder.

Joani Karololine Howell

Joani Karololine Howell, age 38, received her angel wings on Friday, May 4, 2018 at her home in Memphis, TN.
Joani was welcomed on this earth by her parents, Joey and Lawanda Howell of Sardis on October 28, 1979.
Joani was a native of Batesville and attended South Panola High School. In her teen years she traveled to Washington DC to study with her aunt and family. She helped as a nanny to her cousin. She was dearly loved and spent her summer sightseeing and going to the Kentucky Derby, Grand Ole Opry, New York City, and the Chesapeake Bay Area.
Other than her parents, she leaves behind two children, Jaedan Helix Howell of Memphis, TN and Alantas Julianna Howell Kanaan of West Memphis, AR. She also leaves a brother, Joel Howell of Reno, N.V.; two half-brothers, Justin Howell and Joseph Howell; two half-sisters, Jessica Howell of Uma, AZ., and Jacqueline Howell Petit of Batesville, MS; aunt, Lisa Harper of Memphis and cousin James Bryce Barber of Arlington, VA, along with a host of family and friends.
Joani is preceded in death by her grandparents; Everette and Audrey Howell and Leo and Vera Mae Franklin.
The family is planning a candle light memorial service. The date, time and place will be announced at a later time.

William Partee Land

William Partee Land Jr., 90, died May 7, 2018.
Services will be held today at Forrest Hill South Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Memphis. Interment will follow in the Masonic Section.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Batesville, a Mason and was retired from Texas Gas Transmission Company.

Matthew Martin Jr.

Matthew Martin Jr., 18, died April 29, 2018 at Regional One Hospital in Memphis.
He was born October 21, 1998 to Marilyn Trantham-Martin of Horn Lake, formerly of Batesville and the late Matthew Martin Sr. He is the great-grandson of Ada Mae Lee of Courtland.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12 at noon at Batesville Jr. High School.Visitation will start at 10 a.m. until service time.
Interment will follow at Johnson Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetary

Ronald Lee “Ronny” Oswalt Sr.

Ronald Lee “Ronny” Oswalt, Sr., age 59, passed away at his home in Sardis on May 6, 2018. A memorial gathering was held Thursday at Sardis Steak and Seafood.
Ronny was born March 15, 1959 to the late Rex Larry Oswalt and Bobbye Racheal Lawrence Oswalt in Cherry Point, N.C.
He graduated from Mathiston High School and went on to attend Ole Miss.
Ronny proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force and the U.S. Army.
Ronny worked as the internet sales manager at Heafner Motors in Batesville.

Ronnie “Charlie” Robinson

Ronnie “Charlie” Robinson, 52, died, May 5, 2018 at Baptist East in Memphis.
Services will be held Sunday, May 13 at 2 p.m. in Cooley’s Mortuary Chapel.
Pastor Zannie Leland will officiate.
Interment will follow in Batesville Cemetery.
Robinson was born Aug. 9, 1965 in Batesville to Roy Chapman and Alveter Robinson Battle.
