300 runners expected  for Gateway race Sat.

Runners in Saturday’s Gateway to the Delta 10-miler and 5K races should have sunny skies and mild temperatures as they pace themselves through an early morning run in Batesville.
Already 300 people have registered for the event, the fifth annual race sponsored as a fundraiser by the Batesville Rotary Club.
Participants can register and pick up their packets this afternoon at the Batesville Courthouse from 2-6.
Registration opens at the Downtown Memorial Park Saturday morning at 6:30.
The 10-mile race will start promptly at 8 a.m., and the 5K at 8:15 a.m.
Award ceremonies will begin at 9:45 a.m.
The 10-mile race course takes runners from the Square to Broadway, Corporate Drive, Crown Drive, Nosef Dr., Brewer Road, Lakewood, Shamrock, Keating, Oak Ridge, Highway 51, Tiger Drive, Watt St., Park, East, Bates, Church, Eureka, back to the Square to finish.
