By Myra Bean
It was a wet and wild weekend at J. P. Hudson Park for the annual Dizzy Dean Bash.
The Batesville softball and baseball teams walked away with four of the nine first place trophies and two second place trophies.
In first were 6-year-old baseball, 7-year-old baseball, 10-year-old baseball and 10 and under softball.
The 8-year-old baseball and 12 and under softball placed second in their division.
Rain was a serious foe in the weekend events. Friday night games were rained out and postponed until Saturday. Games started early and the last game of the night ended at 1:15 Sunday morning.
