For the second time this week, South Panola found itself going into extra innings Saturday against Senatobia, but unfortunately could not get the timely hit as the Warriors rallied for a six-run ninth inning to come away with 9-3 victory.
South Panola left 11 men on base including six in scoring position. Senatobia in turn pounded 15 hits, 13 of which were singles.
Trailing 3-1 with one out in the seventh inning, Zach Brown’s two-run single sent the game into extra innings.
Senatobia (6-10) sent 11 batters to the plate in the ninth while scoring all of their runs with no outs. Cam Loveberry and Sam Suggs provided the big blows with a pair of two-run doubles to put the game out of reach.
Chris Brown took the pitching loss for South Panola (3-11) by throwing two innings of relief. Senior Tripp Still  got the starting nod on the mound and  gave up three runs while walking one and striking out two in seven innings of work.
South Panola grabbed a 2-0 lead in the third off Warrior starting pitcher Trey Burdette as Anderson Wilder and Brayden Locke singled before advancing on a groundout. Bowen Williams brought in the first run with a sacrifice fly followed by Gehrig Griffin’s RBI single that scored Locke.
The Tigers tacked on another run in the following inning as Wilder drew a one- walk before swiping second and racing home on Locke’s ground ball to first base.
Senatobia scratched across a run in the fifth as three straight singles loaded the bases with no outs before Burdette grounded into a 4-3 double play to plate Zach Woolfolk. Still got out of farther damage by retiring the next hitter on a flyout.
Griffin, Wilder, Locke and Chris Casiday all collected singles for South Panola while Nathan Herron added a double. The Tiger defense did not commit an error while turning a season high four double plays.

Senatobia regained the lead at 6-5 with two unearned runs in the fourth before South Panola responded with the two runs in the bottom of the frame.
Denver Brown and White paced the Tigers with two hits each. Dawson Griffin, Gage Heath, Hunter Hudson, John Culp and Keshaun Lantern provided singles. Culp scored two runs while Lantern added a two-run single in the second.
Brandon Phelps picked up the win in relief of Luke Weldon who tossed three inings.
South Panola returns to district play today as they travel to Columbus for a  varsity game beginning at 4 p.m.
