Will Kidder’s name has mostly been synonymous with throwing and running the football on Friday nights for North Delta.
However, in the spring he picks up his golf accoutrement and sinks balls on the golf course.
Last year, the North Delta team finished third in the state. In route to that finish, Kidder was the medalist in all tournaments in which he participated.
With his scores, the team finished first in each of the tournaments.
When deciding what sport to pursue and where to go, Kidder felt his golf game would get him further than football.
He met the Meridian golf head coach Ronnie Keys at a golf camp at Mississippi State.
After Meridian, he hopes to continue his collegiate golf career at Mississippi State or Ole Miss.
He is the son of Jake Kidder.
