The South Panola Lady Tigers volley ball team faced Tupelo at home Thursday night. The Lady Tigers went 0-3, losing the first three sets.
The South Panola Varsity fell in their first match 25-8. The Lady Tigers struggled to keep up with Tupelo. Multiple spikes and perfected serves allowed Tupelo to overcome the Lady Tigers.
South Panola continued to battle with numerous saves and digs. The saves just weren’t enough to keep up with multiple strong serves from Tupelo. The lady tigers suffered two more losses in their second and third set. The lady tigers lost their second set 25-6 and their third set 25-9.
The Lady tiger junior varsity fought hard but came up short, losing two sets to Tupelo 25-6 and 25-14.
The lady tigers were unable to stop a Tupelo server from serving 11 points in her single serve.
It looked as if SP was going to come back in their second set against Tupelo as Destiny Rudd, Teddera Patton and Tristan Goddard had three of the best serves, serving up three points each, for the Lady Tigers.
Digs from Patton, Goddard and Kayln Cheek allowed the Lady Tigers to keep up with Tupelo for most of the set.
Two good serves from the Golden Waves gave Tupelo the lead they needed and allowed them to take the second set as well, 25-14.
