Domestic Violence Conference planned April 30

The North Mississippi Domestic Violence Conference is planned Saturday, April 30 at Merit Health Batesville.
The conference is intended for healthcare professionals, social workers, first responders, law enforcement personnel and anyone else interested.
“Our conference will highlight the latest information and promising practices to advance the professional response to domestic violence,” Dr. Jake Julian, chaplain at the hospital, said.
Julian is the driving force behind the Batesville Safe Shelter, a local organization that works to prevent domestic violence and supports efforts to establish a local shelter for victims of domestic violence.
The conference will include four work sessions and a keynote address.
