The Batesville Junior High fastpitch softball team faced the Bartlett Lady Panthers Saturday morning and won 7-0.
Rebecca Cook started off pitching for the Lady Tigers and walked the first two batters before head coach Ashleigh Hicks sends Avery Seay to the mound.
A double allows  two runners to score the only two runs for the Lady Panthers.
The Lady Tigers began scoring runs in the second inning. A walk allowed Seay on base, then a bunt by Bailey Ware forced the catcher for the Lady Panthers to throw to first which was missed allowing Seay to score and Ware to reach third base.
Another bunt by Sierra Mitchell drove in Ware. Bailey Russell and Cook were hit by a pitch which loaded the bases.
Mitchell scored on a single by Addison Hardy. Russell and Cook came home as Lilly Morrow and Brinley Locke were walked. Hardy stole home before Seay bunted allowing Morrow to score the last run of the come.
Rebecca Cook pitched the last inning of the game striking out all three bathers she faced. The Lady Tigers will face Grenada at four p.m. Thursday for the Strike Out for Cancer Games.
