Canon reported that with the recent gift of $40,000 donated to the Gateway Tire Scholarship Endowment, the cumulative giving by Dunlap has reached $400,000.

She further stated, “Most of Mr. Dunlap’s contributions are for the purpose of providing scholarships.  However, he has also helped with equipment for the Automotive Technology program and with special projects for our athletic and fine arts programs, ” Canon said.

Spears expressed the college’s appreciation by saying, “Bobby Dunlap is noted for his philanthropy to many worthy causes.  In addition, he has a true compassion for young people and wants to help them attend college.  We are honored to be among the colleges and universities that he supports.”
