Law enforcement officials gathered several large cannabis plants from a pea patch located on Rogers Road in north Panola County after it was spotted by aerial surveillance according to Panola County Sheriff Dennis Darby. Darby’s department worked with Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics using Mississippi Highway Patrol’s helicopter. The multi-agency operation was expected to reveal another patch before the day was over on Thursday. Arrests were expected but none had been made at press time Thursday.
